WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Director of Account Management is responsible for the management of the client relationship, including account service, project management, and financial accountability for profit contribution. The Account Director works in conjunction with the client counterparts (currently the Vice President of Marketing and Premium Programs and team) to oversee the development of strategies with marketing plans that create solutions. The Account Director takes strategic information and solutions back to the account team and other internal teams to develop and implement tactics in support of the overarching plan.
Specific Responsibilities

Maintain Midan’s corporate culture
Oversee the development of the client's short and long-term marketing strategies, as well as take responsibility for “bottom-line” accountability
Serve as a strategic sounding board for key client contacts and grow into representing Midan in client senior leadership team meetings.
Identify incremental opportunities within the client’s business for growth not only in the Fresh Meats Business Unit but in other business units as well by spearheading the development of new concept ideas that enhance Midan’s ongoing business efforts with the client and demonstrate the ability to sell these concepts to the client.
Supervise the development of activities in accordance with the client’s objectives and budget limitations
Direct the daily activities of the client account management team to ensure proper outcomes and service
Build strong, lasting client/agency relationships based on progress in achieving clients’ marketing objectives that result in profit for the agency
Contribute to strategic planning and concept development, providing proactive thought leadership across all aspects of the business
Be knowledgeable about the client and their brand(s), and understand the internal and external processes in order to successfully execute the scope of work.
Oversee post-program evaluations with clients on services, legal, and brand approvals
Plan and direct activities for key client meetings
Creatively and proactively provide solutions to client business issues and challenges
Earn and keep each client’s respect and confidence
Keep the Leadership Team regularly informed and current on all aspects of work activity
Work with senior account management team members on developing and managing a profitable business/account plan.
Coordinate efforts to gain intelligence with Midan’s Customer Insights Team to aid the account team and the client in understanding the landscape and identify opportunities to develop new and innovative programs/solutions.
Act as agency ambassador internally and externally.
Oversee all budgets, invoicing, and client-related financial reporting.

Represent Midan with passion and professionalism
Provide leadership, mentorship, and management for direct reports, playing a key role in developing the next generation of account management talent
Inspire TAT team members, leading to increased engagement
Assist Human Resources in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent, providing career development for team members
Provide on-the-job training and professional development opportunities to ensure account team success and continued engagement
Support direct reports in the management and development of each of their team members.
Empower team members to take responsibility for their jobs. Delegate responsibilities, hold them accountable, and provide regular feedback.
Plan for team-building activities throughout the year
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among team members that builds trust and allows for disagreement over ideas and healthy conflict with expeditious conflict resolution.
Promote a spirit of appreciation for diversity and inclusion as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and effective collaboration to enable the success of each member of your team and the agency as a whole
Lead team members using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage contribution, including goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
Develop TAT KRAs annually and monitor progress quarterly
Leadership Team (will become a part of the Leadership Team after approximately six months in the role)
Attendance and participation at all Leadership Team meetings and huddles
Lead the successful execution and completion of Rocks and other assignments according to timelines
Represent the Leadership Team and its positions to the TAT team
Represent the TAT team to the Leadership Team
Work with Principals and their designees to develop and execute strategies that impact the TAT team and all of Midan.
Act as a representative of the Leadership Team throughout all of Midan and bring concerns and ideas from all parts of Midan to the attention of the Leadership Team
Actively manage the TAT budget to accomplish established goals in the most efficient manner.

Qualifications (REQUIRED)
Minimum of ten years of experience in food & fresh meat marketing and/or livestock production
Full meat channel knowledge & experience, from farm to fork
Prior experience at the account supervisor or director level
Experience working within an agency setting
Experience managing the ebbs & flows of a business unit
Proven as a respected leader in both client and team recognition/support
Experience managing and developing a cohesive team (minimum 20–25-person team)
Must be willing to travel up to 25% - 35% of the time
Must be willing to work either Eastern Time, Central Time, or Mountain Time standard business hours.

Education, Training, and Network
Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus) in marketing, animal science, meat science, agri-business, or production (REQUIRED)
