An R&D intern will gain experience in product development by working alongside food scientists in the development of new products and processes for beef, pork, and chicken. Interns will be exposed to the manufacturing process used across Tyson’s family of brands including Hillshire Farms, Tyson, Jimmy Dean, Ball Park, State Fair, amongst many others. Projects will also be assigned to the intern at the beginning of the summer that can provide an immediate impact through cost-saving, quality improvement, profitability, innovation, and/or product competitiveness. At the end of the internships, interns will conclude with a brief report and presentation on the results of their project(s). The length of the internship is 12 weeks.
