The expected salary for this position is $130,000 - $150,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.

Job Purpose and Impact
The Customer Technical Services Quality Consultant, is a member of the Cargill Protein Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory team. In this role you will apply broad and deep scientific understanding of quality assurance and food safety technology and processes across the enterprise in case ready animal protein products. We seek an expert professional with broad and in-depth knowledge of quality assurance and food safety technology and processes in production, testing and auditing. You will provide solutions to moderately complex food safety and quality issues across the organization, within fresh animal protein product manufacturing.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of food safety and quality.
Anticipate internal and external business challenges and regulatory issues, recommending process, product or service improvements.
Lead validation and verification studies related to food safety and quality, within specific area(s) of expertise.
Conduct broad analysis of food safety and quality metrics to identify trends, best practices and areas of opportunity.
Partner with customers, manufacturing locations, research and development teams to commercialize products.
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience
Ability to travel up to 15%
Minimum of 10 years of experience in food safety and quality systems
Experience with USDA food regulations
FSIS meat regulatory experience
Experience working with case ready animal protein products (beef, ground beef, pork, turkey) in multiple packaging formats.
Experience engaging with retail customers both proactively and reactively.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
